Riley is little wire fox terrier with BIG problems. He has been diagnosed with a congenital malformation
of his left shoulder. Basically, it is underdeveloped and out of place, with nothing to hold it in place. Riley walks
with a limp and is in constant pain. However, full of spunk and energy, Riley tries his best to play with the "big dogs,"
never letting it get him down.
Although he is only five months old, he needs a very rare surgery to reconstruct his shoulder. If
left untreated, the leg will go lame, and because his right shoulder is also underdeveloped, though not as severely, it is
unlikey it would be able to work alone without collapsing as well. The cost of surgery has been quoted at $2000.
